Ultra-Low Dose Computed Tomography (CT)

Computed tomography (CT) utilises x-rays to generate fine slices of the region of interest, and these slices can be reconstructed to allow better visualisation of the concerned area from different planes. Because of this technology, it makes CT fast and accurate.

More importantly, all NIA Diagnostic Imaging sites have ultra-low dose CT machines which uses lower radiation dose compared to traditional CT machines, while still maintaining high diagnostic quality.

Preparation

Please bring any previous diagnostic imaging and reports related to the area.

Usually there are no specific preparations required for CT studies.

NO APPOINTMENT necessary.
